Important Information and Questions

How much time will it take to move?
As to the time required, it is dependent oh how much needs to be moved, whether you have already done some of the work, if everything is ready to go, the size and location of the items (i.e. if stairs are involved, in storage, etc.), travel time to the destination, and if multiple trips are required to name a few.

We would offer you these general time estimates:

For a 1 bedroom, consider a minimum of 3-4 hours.

For a 2 bedroom, consider a minimum of 6-7 hours.

For a 3+ bedroom, consider a minimum of 8-10 hours.

The time could be longer.  However, if it takes less time, we will only charge the actual time spent after the minimum charge stated in the quote.

We are even amenable for you to help load boxes if you wish to further reduce your time.  

​

Our standard quote includes 2 men and the truck, however additional men can sometimes actually reduce your cost by reducing the loading/unloading time and can be included for an additional fee per person.  We recommend at least 3 men for a 3 or more bedroom move.



Are there any additional or hidden fees?
Since we charge by the hour, there is no additional fee for any take down or set up you may require.  We are there to serve you to the very best we can.

We do not charge travel to or from the job as long as it is local to the triangle area.  If not local, we may charge a travel fee to or from the job.

​

We do not charge extra for moving up/down stairs, but they do add to the time required.

​

There are no additional fees and no deposit required.  


How big is your truck?
The actual cargo dimensions of our truck are 20' long x 7.5' wide x 8' tall which is 1,200 cu ft.  You can see pictures of our truck on the Pictures tab.  It is equipped with both a ramp and a lift gate.  We make every effort to pack the truck as tightly as possible, but if you have more items to move than will fit in our truck then we would have to make multiple trips.



Is packing and unpacking included in your bid?
We do not normally engage in packing or unpacking of items.  If you need assistance with this, we can recommend folks who specialized in these services.

During the actual move, we use blankets to protect the furniture.  If there is a particular need, we can also wrap the furniture.


Are you licensed and insured?
We are licensed and isured as per the requirements of the NC Utilities Commission.


Is there anything else I need to know?
We ask you to take care of any cash, jewelry and other similar valuables just to avoid any unwanted problems.

We do not move heavy pianos.

​

We accept cash, check or credit card.  We require payment on the day of the move.
